Pioneer Songs is an epic 15-song concert that takes you on a 2,000 mile musical journey

You will re-live and “feel” history through the power of symphony, 4 incredibly talented soloist singers who will recount the story with their beautiful voices and artistic passion, and a blockbuster 100-person choir intensifying the power of the experience. The story transports you back to 1841 to travel along on the first wagon train ventures from the American frontier through the desolate prairie, treacherous mountains, and unforgiving desert in the quest to reach California and the promise of a better life. With the scores’ powerful musical melodies, lyrics, and narration, you will experience the hopes and anticipation, fears and hardships, and perseverance and triumphs as the pioneers strive to reach their destiny- all of the deeply human emotions that each of us still face today every time we go on our own pioneering journeys throughout life!

The all-original ASCAP-award winning score composed by Westminster Faculty Eric Houghton will be performed by the Westminster Conservatory of Music under the baton of Conductor and Music Director Ruth Ochs, Princeton University Music Faculty.

Come to the grand Patriots Theater on November 10th to experience a delightfully unique entertainment highlight of your year, and invigorate your pioneering spirit!
